USIG 2019 LEGACY TROPHY

OVERVIEW

In the spirit of building regional pride, a legacy trophy has been a part of the Games
since 2013.

PROCESS
Instead of simply awarding the trophy to the region with the highest number of medals, a
weighted point system will determine the winner. The type of medal won and the number
of total entries for a region will be the key factors driving the overall score.

► MEDAL SCORES
– Gold medals won will count for 2 points in individual sports, 4 points in team sports
– Silver medals won will count for 1 point in individual sports, 2 points in team sports

► SLOT ALLOCATIONS
– Medal points will be divided by the total number of entries for that region
The Central Scoring team will ensure that the proper data is collected and analyzed for
the duration of USIG, as this data will drive the ultimate determination of the winner of
the Legacy Trophy
